| Worship:
Organize weekly worship and special services scheduling.
Create and publish appropriate assignment lists - ushers,
nursery care, flowers, Communion servers, etc. Inventory
and order needed supplies.
Music: Plan and review music program
for adults and children. Work with organist and other
music staff/volunteers.
Liturgy: Work with Pastor on lectionary
planning, holiday schedules, and lay participation
- readers, special presentations, etc.
Church Life: Develop and review ongoing programs
(fellowship and social) and procedures (home &
hospital visitation, prayer circle, phone chain, etc.)
which provide personal and faith building support
for members and friends of the congregation.
Communications: Develop and support
internal (Newsletter, bulletin, mailings) and community
based communication networks (press, radio, public
access TV).
Outreach/Benevolence: Identify opportunities in
the life of the church which meet the needs of prospective
members. Develop teams for follow up and integration
of new members into church life.
Sunday
School: Plan, recruit, and manage Sunday School
Program for Pre School through 12th Grade. This includes
curriculum development, parent programs, and Confirmation/Catechism
Classes.
Youth Fellowship: Plan, recruit and
manage Youth Programs for ages 8 to 18. Develop selected
events for post high and young adults.
Adult Education: Plan, Recruit, and
manage Bible Study, Discussion Groups, and Small Group
Programs.
Finance: Budget, Pledging, and Fund
Development (investments, bequests, estate planning,
and endowments.)
Property/Grounds: Current building maintenance,
equipment, and capital project management.
Personnel: Lead planning and recruitment
for Church personnel needs, including:

Consistory:
Chair
annual nominations committee for Consistory.
Recruit
Consistory members to replace outgoing Elders and
Deacons
Review and assist in committee member recruitment
For
Church Operations:
Review
personnel needs of staff and current requirements
of supervising or reviewing associations (American
Guild of Organists, Classis of Greater Palisades,
Department of Labor, IRS, etc.)
Remain
current and in compliance with employment labor laws
and regulations
Coordinate staff compensation reviews and adjustments
Organize
special recognition events for staff
