Sunday, October 19th at 4pm
World-renowned
singer and entertainer Carmel Quinn will perform a concert to
benefit the Historic Preservation Fund of The Old Stone Church
in Upper Saddle River on Sunday afternoon, October 19th,
at 4pm. Tickets are $20.00 each, and a reception will follow.
Seating in the church is limited to 200 persons, so call early
to reserve your tickets at 201-327-5242. Tickets can be
purchased in advance from the Church office, located at 500 East
Saddle River Road, corner of Weiss Road, weekdays from 9am to
12pm. If available, unreserved tickets may be purchased at the
door on the day of the performance.
Beginning with her
appearances on the popular CBS television show “Arthur Godfrey
and His Friends,” Carmel Quinn continuously has captivated
audiences here in the US and abroad. She has appeared on The
Today Show, The Mike Douglas Show, The Tonight
Show, The Dick Cavett Show, Live with Regis and
Kathy Lee, and other network television programs. Her
annual concerts at Carnegie Hall in New York City sold out for
more than 25 consecutive years. On stage, Miss Quinn starred in
productions of Wildcat, Finnian’s Rainbow, The Boy Friend,
and The Sound of Music, among others. Her many
recordings for Columbia Records, including her Grammy-nominated
children’s album Patrick Muldoon and His Magic Balloon,
have won raves from fans all over the world.
Miss Quinn’s
wonderfully humorous anecdotes, classic folk and contemporary
songs, and easy rapport with her audience make her joyous and
comic program a hit with persons of all ages. Please join us on
Sunday, October 19th as Carmel Quinn, accompanied by
Rozanne Sullivan, director of music at The Old Stone Church,
shares her gifts of song and comedy with our community.
