Sunday School

When and Where.

Sunday School classes begin at the Contemporary Family Worship at 9:00 AM        in the Old Stone Church, on the corner of East Saddle River Road and Old Stone Church Road. Parents are encouraged to attend worship with their children. After the 30 minute service, the students remain at the Sanctuary and attend their Sunday School classes until 9:45 AM.

Curriculum
We use a curriculum know as The Bible Way. It is supportive and convenient for the students and the volunteer Sunday School teachers. It blends fun for the students learning of God, Jesus Christ and our Church.

Adult Church Connection
Since the Sunday School students attend only selected adult worship services during the year, Elders and Deacons visit with the classes to strengthen bonds between children and the Church. This familiarizes students with adults of the Church and sets a positive role model for their aspirations.

Additionally, at times Sunday worship service features Children's sermons in which the program and key messages are geared for our children.

Christmas Pageant
In mid December - on one of the two Sundays immediately preceding Christmas - the children reenact the story of Christ's birth. The pageant is a warm, engaging presentation for the children, families and the congregation. It is followed by the famous Old Stone Church Spaghetti
